Challenge

A high-profile VIP box renovation needed climate systems that stayed reliable under event-day loads — a space that is near-empty for most of the year and then fully occupied, with high solar gain, for a handful of critical days — while improving the building’s energy performance overall.

Solution

We delivered a full HVAC design covering load calculation, system design and control strategy, together with photovoltaic integration. The control strategy was written around the occupancy profile rather than a steady-state assumption, so that the plant is not sized and run for a load that is present only a few days a year.

Impact

Modernised, energy-efficient building services, with on-site renewable generation feeding the building’s demand and a control strategy matched to how the space is actually used.
